Leon Durupt

Leon Durupt is a musician, songwriter and performer who has also been part-owner of The Terrace, an award-winning  live music venue in Shenzhen, China since 2005.

Leon has been immersed in pop/rock music since a very young age and has crafted a fine career, starting in Alberta, Canada as a keyboardist, music teacher and live musician. He achieved success as a songwriter placing 2 songs on Canadian country star Greg Paul's album. 

He later moved to China in 1996 and quickly became a favorite with the Chinese crowd for his authentic and passionate covers of Chinese Mandarin pop songs. He has recently returned to writing songs and is working on recording a new album for release in 2017.

In 2004 Leon appeared in the popular Chinese TV series "Chinese-Style Divorce" alongside Chinese superstars Chen Dao Ming and Jiang Wen Li. 

Leon performs with TAS, an exciting house band that has been a mainstay at Terrace ever since it opened in 2005. They have won numerous awards for Best Live Music and Best House Band and are consistently a favourite of customers who visit Shenzhen from around the world.
